Q1Is the V2Ray client free?
Yes. v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG featured on this site are all free, open-source software, safe to download with no hidden fees or in-app purchases.
Q2Which client should I download for Windows / macOS / Linux?
Just use v2rayN for all desktop platforms — it supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, has a friendly, actively maintained interface, and supports mainstream protocols with one-click subscription import. Grab the installer for your OS on the download page.
Q3Should I choose the x64 or arm64 version for Windows?
Most computers should use the x64 version; only Windows on ARM devices with an ARM chip need the arm64 version. Check your exact architecture under Settings → System → About.
Q4Should I download v2rayNG or v2flyNG for Android?
Their interface and features are nearly identical — the difference is in the core: v2rayNG uses the Xray core, with a broader ecosystem and the most active updates; v2flyNG uses the v2fly core. If you're not sure, just go with v2rayNG.
Q5Not sure of my Android phone's architecture — which APK should I download?
Download the universal APK — it's compatible with almost all phones, no need to identify your exact architecture. For a smaller install size, you can pick the architecture that matches your device, such as arm64-v8a.

Subscriptions & Nodes
Q6What's the difference between a subscription link and a node link?
A subscription link is a URL that aggregates multiple nodes and updates automatically; a node link (like vmess://, vless://, trojan://) only contains a single fixed node and needs to be manually replaced when the provider changes it. Subscription links are recommended for everyday use — they're much less hassle to manage.
Q7How do I import a subscription link?
On desktop, add the subscription URL in "Subscription Settings" and click Update; on mobile, add it via "Import from Clipboard" or by scanning a QR code, then pull down to refresh. See the subscription setup guide for full steps.
Q8The node list is empty after importing my subscription — what should I do?
Check that the subscription link was copied in full, that your current network can reach that URL, and that your system clock is accurate. If it still doesn't work, try switching networks and updating again.
Q9Can I add multiple subscriptions at once?
Yes — the client supports adding and managing multiple subscription URLs at the same time. Nodes under each subscription are shown in separate groups without interfering with each other, and you can update or delete any single subscription independently at any time.
Q10What should I do if my subscription link is leaked?
Subscription links usually contain an identity token, so if it's leaked, someone else could use up your quota — contact your provider as soon as possible to reset the subscription URL or rotate the token, and avoid sharing the link publicly.

Connecting & Using
Q11What protocols does V2Ray support?
The core supports VMess, VLESS, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Socks, HTTP, and more, along with WebSocket, gRPC, TCP, mKCP transports and TLS / Reality encryption.
Q12Should I use Global Proxy or PAC mode?
Global Proxy routes all traffic through the proxy, which is useful for troubleshooting; PAC mode automatically splits traffic by rule — sites in mainland China connect directly, everything else routes through the proxy — which is faster and more efficient. We recommend PAC mode for everyday use.
Q13What if I can't connect?
Check these in order: ① is your system clock accurate (VMess requires under 90 seconds of drift); ② is the node available — try switching to another one; ③ do the client and server protocol settings match; ④ is the system proxy mode enabled correctly.
Q14My phone keeps showing "Connecting..." and never finishes — what's wrong?
This usually means the current node is unavailable or there's a network issue — try switching to another node. Also check whether your phone's battery-saving policy is restricting the client from running in the background, and add it to the battery optimization whitelist if needed.
Q15Can I use the same subscription on my phone and computer?
Yes. Subscription links are platform-independent — the same subscription works across clients on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and any other device, staying in sync automatically.

Security & Privacy
Q16Are the downloads on this site safe?
This site does not offer repackaged or modified installers — every download comes straight from the official release of the respective client project, unmodified, with no bundled ads or promotional software of any kind.
Q17Will using a V2Ray client leak my private data?
The client software itself is open-source and does not collect or upload any user data. That said, your network traffic does pass through whichever proxy server you connect to, so make sure to pick a provider you trust.
